Stunning water views!
Turtle Bay Resort has a special place in our hearts. As locals, we love it for stay-cations and have memories from childhood. It's a wonderful getaway from the main part of the city where you can actually slow down and relax while looking out at their spectacular views.  Fried Shrimp with Honey Glazed Walnuts- $17.95 (2 orders shown). We enjoy going to Kirin Chinese Restaurant for Dim Sum (see my review),
but our visit this time was for a birthday dinner.  Fresh Ahi Poke (Shoyu & Spicy Tuna) & Granola and Fruits. Sunday Brunch is one of my favorite things.
Nothing beats brunch with your favorite people and a Mimosa or two. We visited Harbor Restaurant at Pier 38 for the 3rd time in 3 months (for me anyway; a handful of times for my other half). That's how much we enjoy this restaurant. This visit, we tried out their Mother's Day Brunch to see their interpretation of brunch in paradise. Waikiki Yokocho (Food Alley) Take 2-- Umami Kingyo Teppan Takoyaki & Okonomiyaki-- (Oahu, Hawaii).5/3/2017 5 PIECE TAKOYAKI-- $5.00  Osaka-style Takoyaki also comes in orders of 8 & 10 pieces ($7.50 & $9). We originally ventured out to Waikiki for the Spam Jam, but it was so packed we decided to escape the crowds by going to Waikiki Yokocho for a sit down meal instead. (See our first visit for more visiting and parking information). Umami Kingyo Teppan is located in the Waikiki Gourmet Food Alley; immediately to the right of the main entrance on Royal Hawaiian Avenue. The sight of Takoyaki got our attention right away. Brought to our table freshly made (and steaming hot, please be careful)-- just like in streets of Osaka! Did someone say Coffee Creme Brulee?  Desert of the day-- Kona Coffee Creme Brulee-- $10. It was luscious and creamy. Other types of Creme Brulee are offered regularly. We had lunch at Harbor Restaurant at Pier 38 once again and I just wanted to share a few new pictures. By now, I've lost track of the times my Fiance's been here...without me. But I would have to say this is one of our newest favorite restaurant on the island. Their food and service is always great!
