Waikiki Yokocho (Food Alley) Take 2-- Umami Kingyo Teppan Takoyaki & Okonomiyaki-- (Oahu, Hawaii).

5 PIECE TAKOYAKI-- $5.00
Umami Kingyo Teppan (Waikiki Yokocho Gourmet Food Alley), Oahu. Authentic Takoyaki just like in Japan!
Osaka-style Takoyaki also comes in orders of 8 & 10 pieces ($7.50 & $9).

We originally ventured out to Waikiki for the Spam Jam,
but it was so packed we decided to escape the crowds by going to
 Waikiki Yokocho
for a sit down meal instead.
(See our first visit for more visiting and parking information).

Umami Kingyo Teppan is located in the Waikiki Gourmet Food Alley;
immediately to the right of the main entrance on Royal Hawaiian Avenue.

The sight of Takoyaki got our attention right away.
Brought to our table freshly made (and steaming hot, please be careful)-- just like in streets of Osaka!

For this post, I re-visited Orchid's at Halekulani.

Here are some photos and quick notes.

Waikiki Yokocho (which is "alley" in Japanese) recently opened this past December.

I'm a bit late, but finally made it down to check it out.

Harbor 38 Restaurant Honolulu Hawaii (Ruben Sandwich closeup).
Close-up of the Ruben Sandwich.

On a random day, my Fiance tells me he had lunch at Harbor Restaurant 38.
Then proceeded to go on and on raving about it.

But my burning question was, "You went... WITHOUT me?"

He felt a bit guilty so he brought me this time around.  ;)

100 Sails Restaurant Buffet Review (Waikiki, Oahu).

100 Sails Prince Hotel Waikiki Oahu (Buffet Dinner Review). Restaurant Decor layout.

We saw a commercial on TV regarding the newly renovated buffet and bar at the Hawaii Prince Hotel.  It looked really interesting.  Fully remodeled, fresh vibes.  But could the food be better than when it was the Prince Court?

Since I knew we were going to a buffet, I deliberatly did not eat as much that day.

So I was quite starving.

- Restaurant Week (November 2016) -
Dinner Menu

53 by the Sea Honolulu Restaurant (Restaurant week Shrimp Appetizer and White wine pairing).
By grilling the Amaebi, it really imparted a smokiness to it. I really enjoyed the combination with the potato salad and Tobiko.

I don't know why it has taken me this long to finally try out 53 by the Sea (~ 4 years after it opened).
Restaurant Week is always a good excuse right?

Noi Thai Cuisine Waikiki Oahu (Crab Curry), hiohio.net

I finally had the opportunity to try out Noi's Thai Cuisine located at the heart of Waikiki, Oahu.
What's even better is they were offering their restaurant week menu too this time.

Their dinner menu Set B looked good online, so we picked that along with a few other ala carte items.

MW Honolulu Oahu (Afternoon Tea) Savory items.
Savory items for this month's afternoon tea. Tea set also included fresh mixed berry scone with Yuzu Curd (not shown).

Last trip, our MW Restaurant server said to us "see you next month!"

Well, it's finally a month later and another girl's afternoon out.
(Don't worry if you're a guy, I saw quite a number of male customers during tea time).

Morton's Steakhouse Honolulu (Legendary Chocolate Cake Dessert), Oahu.
Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake.
Let's talk about Morton's Steakhouse for a minute.

I was quite surprised when my other half decided to take me here (on his own free will as
I'm usually the one that suggests and look up places to try).

In case you're not a meat lover, lets talk about their desserts first.

And if you happen to have a Gluten or Soy sensitivity, they've got your covered too!
