Las Vegas Trip Report- Memorial Weekend 2015- Day 3 (Wynn & Country Club Jazz Brunch, Lost & Found, I Love Burgers Palazzo).

I think we are starting a new Las Vegas tradition where we have to try out a new Sunday brunch each trip.  Therefore, we found ourselves at Wynn Country Club since it has such great ratings.

Day 3, Sunday- 5/24/15
The buffet with Unlimited Rose Bubbles and add-on orange juice was $88 pp. ($260;  $210 before tip & after tax).
Jazz Brunch- Country Club at Wynn Las Vegas- Made to order items.
From left to right- "Eggs Versailles," "Brown Sugar Brined Pork (very juicy and tasty)," "BBQ Smoked Pork Benedict." Everything was delicious!
We found the Wynn Jazz Buffet kind of limiting in terms of variety (we prefer Mandarin Oriental's MoZen to be better in terms of buffet selections and desserts), however the made-to-order menu, view, service, and ambiance at the Country Club was wonderful.   It's classy, but yet casual and comfortable.   The only regret is that we didn't get to try the entire made-to-order menu.

If you plan to visit, be sure to make a reservation (easy through Open Table), since they actually turned down a couple that wanted to walk-in at opening (10 am).

8 made-to-order entrees that you can choose from (unlimited). Too bad our stomach was not big enough to try everything.

Now that I think about it, I hardly ate much-- only the Eggs Versailles (with Salmon), a few oysters, crab legs, shrimp and some random things while sharing the dessert with my Fiance and picking items off of his plate.

Why do I even bother going to buffets?
Ah yes...I go for the endless drinks and the ambiance.  ;)

After being full, we spent a few hours playing slots at Wynn and Encore.
Of course my Fiance went to look for his beloved "OMG Kittens."  He says whichever casino has it will always have his business.  But the Kittens didn't want to come out and play today.

On the other hand, I played some JOB VP (I believe it was 8/5) for quite some time while sipping on a Chocolate Martini.   I was actually up for a bit, but then ended up losing ("maybe" ~ $50).   I then played more of Steve Wynn's Megabucks (I always make it a point to play Megabucks every day..hey you never know, haha).  The bonus is quite fun, but you don't earn very much after it ends.   I quickly lost $100+.

Wynn Las Vegas (Lost and Found).

After a slight losing streak, we returned to the Palazzo.  On the way back, it was very sunny, so I was going to whip out my fold-able hat.  I realized it was missing.
I walked back to Wynn/ Encore to try and look for it with no luck.

I was pointed towards their Lost & Found (which is right across from the entrance of La Cave and unmarked).  I was walked there after asking several different employees where it was.   I'm guessing this is where their Loss Prevention is since all of the hotel staff would come and go from here.

The person I talked to couldn't help me much other than offer their direct line to call later.

I know it's kind of silly as it's not a very pricey hat, but it's traveled quite a bit with me and so I've kind of grown attached to it.

At this point as I walked back to Palazzo to meet my Fiance, ironically Cyndi Lauper's "Time after Time" was playing on the Casino speakers.

Didn't really help me feel any better but perhaps it was an omen of some sort?

"If you're lost you can look and you will find it..."

We pretty much had the afternoon to freely wander around the strip.  My Fiance wanted to buy chocolate s'mores but he couldn't remember where it was from so I suggested we go to the Hersey's store at NY NY.

It was what he was looking for alright.

He originally planned on buying two pieces, but they had a special for 6 pieces for $20.   The counter staff was super nice and what can I say, he caves under pressure when it comes to sweets or deals.

We played a bit at NYNY but did horrible.  So we walked to Paris.  I wanted to go and look for the
Lightening game there as I had a decent hit there in January.  But it seems they have taken it off the floor completely.

I wanted to play their 5-reel Megabucks (my favorite type), but it was constantly occupied (there's only one by Le Cabaret) so that was no-go.  I found one of those multi-game slots and played for quite a while (I think it was one of those butterfly-theme triple pay?)   Not bad considering I put in a $20, played for more than half hour, received drink service, and cashed out over $100.

By this time we were hungry so we headed back to the Palazzo.  Originally we were thinking of going to Table 10, but Fiance was really craving for a burger so we ended up at "I Love Burgers."

We shared a spiked milk shake "Shortcakez" (Frangelico + Smirnoff Vodka).  While the portion was generous (it filled two glasses), we didn't taste the alcohol at all so was a bit disappointed.

Service was fast and nice, but the decor made it resemble a fast food place.   Fiance's burger along with the Parmesan Fries was pretty good.  Though I'm not sure that the Wagyu burger was worth it.   I think I like Holstein's one ("The Rising Sun") better along with their amazing spike shakes.

I think if you were to order the right items here, you will have an enjoyable meal.  I was just not wowed by it.   Total meal before tip was about ~ $66.

Next, we headed back to the room to relax.  Once shoes were off, we click on the TV to NHK.  There it was, a cute documentary on...you guessed it "cats." My Fiance saw it as a sign from the universe that we needed to return to Wynn.

So off we went, but now there was a sudden downpour outside.  Perhaps its not meant to be.  We walked back to the Palazzo casino and played a bunch of things.  We played Flintstones next to each other.  I had fun playing and loved the Wilma bonus (really too bad I didn't bet max) and doubled my money quickly.

He also played a Betty Boop machine that was similar to the Blazing 7's but he landed on a junk win (like less than $10) after playing a while just to see what the bonus was.

Next, I jumped on some kind of fairy-themed game.  Being that I was only playing minimum (50 cents?), I think I hit $20-$30+ dollars after the first few spins as the fairy flew across the screen making a bunch of reels all wilds--not bad in terms of ROI.

My Fiance then played the "Alibaba" slots.
The bonus is really funny.   You can have Alibaba choose his "path of destiny."  If you choose correctly, the bonus keeps on
re-triggering (kind of like the Don Quixote slot I like).

I can't believe how packed and smokey Palazzo was tonight.  All of the club goers were dressed to the nines, with mini-skirts, short dresses, and mega high heels.  What a big deviation from the typical crowd at Palazzo.  Lots of them looked like they were in college (or barely graduated high school).  It didn't help that they were all smoking everywhere (even by the walkway that was supposed to be "smoke-free"--making it hard to breathe for me).

After watching my Fiance play another game ("Spy vs. Spy"), we walked towards Wynn to see if the rain had stopped.   It did so we walked on over.  Wow...it was so jammed packed with everyone lining up to go to Tryst and XS.

Even the casino floors were busy.   I have read that Encore has one of the highest grossing night clubs in LV (XS), but to see it so busy vs. the calmness in the daytime was an interesting contrast.

We found another OMG Kittens for Fiance to play while I tried my luck on OMG Puppies adjacent
(no hits, but at least it was cute).   He finally hit the bonus after a while (~15 mins) but it was no where near as good as his first hit on Friday.  A cocktail waitress finally came by, and I asked for a water while he passed on the drink.  My tiny bottle of water finally arrived after 25+ mins.  I waited as I didn't want to be rude (as my Fiance continued playing his slot).  I thought about not tipping but that would have been SO not nice-- so I handed the girl 3 bucks and carried on.

We were getting a bit tired at this point, so my Fiance suggested I drop by the Lost & Found since we were already here.

What do you know?  Someone found my hat!!

To claim your lost item, you just need to provide an ID (which they will photocopy) and sign a waiver after you've successfully identified the item (before they can show it to you).    YAY!!   Perhaps my luck is changing.   So I go ahead and jump on Megabucks...nope...nothing.   Then I proceeded to make another donation at the VP machines.  Oh well, at least I had my hat back.  Time to head back to the hotel and get ready to pack and sleep.

I was wandering the internet searching for a pair of men's nursing shoes when I saw your post. The trip was great. It appealed to me and I also wanted to experience.
