Izakaya Kei Oahu Review

I'm always looking to try out new food places. 

So of course I can't decline an invitation for this brand new Izakaya (Japanese gastropub)
​that just opened recently in Pearl Kai Shopping area (near Pearlridge Shopping Center).

​Our server was Nohelani -- who was super friendly, cheerful, and attentive.
​In the end, I walked away feeling very well taken care of and can't wait to return.

​The dishes we ordered were:

Chips & Dip- $8 ($6 @ Happy Hour). Spicy Tuna with Lotus Root Chips with quail egg.

Motoyaki Roll- $12.50. Shrimp Tempura with Shrimp Motoyaki (mayonnaise-based sauce).

[PROS]

• ​Service was exceptional!
• Good food and great prices.
• Casual atmosphere.
• Free parking.
• Opened until late (for Honolulu).

[CONS]

• ​​Parking situation isn't the best; difficult to find parking during peak hours.
• Some may say it's near a questionable area.
• Drink menu is limited.

​Overall, I'm pretty sure I will be returning to Izakaya Kei really soon
​ to try out the rest of the their menu.

Kei Motoyaki- $12 (HH: $8). Baked seafood & vegetables with mozzarella cheese, spicy mayo and wonton chips.

Tempura Matsuri- $11.

Mentaiko Fries with Spicy Cod Roe- $5 (HH $3.75).
